PERSONAL
I have a deep and abiding interest in scholarship, sports, world affairs, people and places, which I love to share with the young. I enjoy the one-on-one exchange with inquisitive minds through an informally structured but focused learning process. I believe in promoting an understanding of the fundamentals underlying the subject matter, while encouraging initiative and creativity to make learning fun and rewarding for both the teacher and pupil.
Born in India in 1946, I am a beneficiary of an excellent “English Public School” education (Cambridge University GCE 'O' Levels in 1959) followed by a very rigorous engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, before graduate schools in the US beginning in 1967.
I have two grown sons of my own.
